This video demonstrates the Display control button on the Ecotones Duet.  With just a single touch of a button, it is possible to instantly turn off all lights on the Duet's front panel for operation in complete darkness.  Pressing any other button momentarily turns the lights back on to allow you to easily navigate the panel in the dark.  After 15 seconds, the panel will go dark again.  Pressing the Display button once more will restore the lights to their permanently on state.
